Yes, natural food additives are better than artificial ones.

Q: Can I have sensitivity to a food ingredient or additive?

Please refer to the label of a particular product you buy as we have declared the allergen details of the product in the label.

Q: Are food colors safe for children?

We use the permissible limit prescribed by the food safety department of India, so it’s not harmful.

Q: Where do food ingredients come from?

We have a global presence and our ingredients come from all parts of the world, as we source the best raw materials from the best-grown regions of the world.

Q: Are food additives harmful to my health?

We use food additives as per the regulation prescribed by the food safety department. So it is within the permissible limit. It is not harmful to health.

Q: Why are food additives added to foods?

Food additives are added to the product to preserve the product, and to get better shelf life of the syrup or crush.

Q: I am starting a new restaurant and do not have a trained chef. Is it possible to have recipes of products along with the product?

We have an application manager based in Bangalore. We can share our recipes and videos for the making of the product.

Q: How do I use your products?

You can find many recipes on the Østerberg website for all our products.

Q: Is there any particular generic product that I can use to make multiple recipes?

There are so many application u can make with a single product. For e.g, if u buy a Østerberg strawberry crush, you can use one crush for multiple application as follows, Strawberry crush can be used for smoothies. Strawberry crush can be used for topping like ice cream, cheesecake, or cake toppings. Strawberry Crush can be used for baking of muffins and croissants Strawberry crush can be used to make soda-based beverages. So a single product can be used for different applications.

Q: What will be the cost of my preparation if I use Østerberg product?

For Fruit Crush: If a fruit crush is Rs. 250 per liter of bottle, you can use any smoothies between 40-50 gms. If we take costing for 50 gms per product the cost price of the Østerberg contribution will be Rs. 10 per product. For Syrup: If a fruit syrup is Rs. 200 per liter of bottle, in any drink you can use 25-30 ml. If we take costing for 30 ml per product, the cost price of the Østerberg contribution will be around Rs. 8 per product.
